NaviFacto is being developed to help manufacturing businesses assess technology opportunities, compare their options and make more informed investment decisions.
Manufacturers can face many technology options, limited budgets and uncertainty about where to invest first. Choosing the right technology is only part of the challenge — understanding whether it is the right investment for the business is equally important.

NaviFacto is a developing decision-support platform for manufacturing businesses. It is intended to bring relevant business information and technology investment considerations together in one place, helping manufacturers approach investment decisions in a more structured way.
NaviFacto is being developed as a vendor-neutral decision-support solution for manufacturing businesses.
NaviFacto is currently in early product development. The current website and prototype demonstrate the concept and intended user experience. Further product development and manufacturer validation are planned.
NaviFacto is being developed in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The initial focus is on manufacturing businesses in Northern Ireland.
Speaking with manufacturers as the product develops will help shape the next stages of development and validation.
I am Muhammad Sohail, founder of NaviFacto, based in Belfast.
My background is in science and operations rather than software. I trained as a microbiologist, which taught me to work with process, measurement and controlled testing, then moved into operations managing inventory for a district hospital, reducing waste and keeping critical stock moving.
Since coming to the UK in 2023 I have completed an MSc in Management at Queen’s University Belfast and worked in operational roles across large-scale environments including Tesco and Amazon warehousing. What struck me throughout was how often significant operational decisions get made without a structured way to compare the options, and without anyone checking the outcome afterwards.
NaviFacto is an attempt to fix that for manufacturers: the sector where the decisions are largest, the capital commitment is real, and the support available to smaller firms is thinnest.
Recommendations should be independent of whoever is selling, transparent enough to argue with, and checked afterwards against what actually happened.
Focused on manufacturers across Belfast, Newtownards, Lisburn, Ballymena and Craigavon — close enough to visit the factory floor, which is where these problems are actually visible.
I want to speak with manufacturers across Northern Ireland about technology investment decisions. It would be research, not a sales call, and there is nothing to buy.
